We are looking for our APAC Technical Sales Manager for Monogastric Portfolio for Animal and Plant Health & Nutrition (AHN) Division to support our branding efforts and value offer into the region through our sales force and business partners. AHN is one of the 3 divisions of Health & Nutrition division of Christian Hansen. APAC Sales Organization is the largest sales growth opportunity in the International AHN sales organization and consists of a team of APAC Head of Sales and Head of Technical Services based out of Singapore (who the role reports to) and Sales Teams based in India, Thailand, Indonesia & China (more recruitments on going in sales & Technical Support), Marketing, Business Support & Lab Technician based in KL and Singapore. AHN APAC team sells 2 main portfolio: Silage Inoculants & \xe2\x80\x9cin Feed\xe2\x80\x9d Probiotics for Swine, Poultry & Ruminants and a bit of Aqua. You will support APAC (out of China) on the full Monogastric portfolio (Swine and Poultry) and will work in tight collaboration with Global Commercial Development Team in HQ in Denmark.

What would your role look like?

1. Provides technical assistance to Chr. Hansen Sales Organization including education, training, and interpretation of research to continually improve knowledge and skill sets.
2. Supports sales team in growing and maintaining business. Understands, supports, and executes the selling process.
3. Positions key Chr. Hansen products to consulting nutritionists, veterinarians, and feed companies to increase recommendations of branded products. Maintains an active list of contacts with poultry nutritionists, veterinarians, academic thought leaders, and other key industry opinion leaders.
4. Collaborates with AHN APAC Marketing and Technical Services team, Global Commercial Development and Innovation on industry trends, challenges, and opportunities to expand and/or enhance our brand portfolio and recognition.
5. Leads development and implementation of protocols and monitors Chr. Hansen research studies at university or contract research facilities.
6. Assists in development and review of technical and sales materials.
7. Creates and presents scientific presentations as needed.
8. Participates in professional trade associations and committees related to the poultry & swine industry.
9. Assists in developing and supporting company positioning.
10. Prepares reports as required including objectives, meeting summaries, and expenses.
11. Operates in a professional manner and supports the vision and values of the company

Who are we looking for?

1. Possess good communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
2. Possess a history of success working with swine and/or poultry operations including but not limited to feed companies making swine/poultry feed.
3. Must be able to work in a team environment with technical and sales professionals.
4. Must be able to increase product sales through relationships and influence.
5. Must be able to manage own time and schedule while supporting a team.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
7. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
8. Ability to travel up to 50% of working time. A valid passport is needed as some international travel will be required.
9. These characteristics are normally acquired through an advanced degree in agriculture science (Msc., Engineer, Ph.D. or DVM preferred). A focus in Swine & Poultry nutrition or veterinary medicine is preferred with a minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience. An extensive knowledge of Swine & Poultry nutrition, production, or veterinary medicine is required.
