Description: As a clinical psychologist, your aim will be to reduce the distress and improve the psychological wellbeing of our clients who may have a variety of mental, emotional or physical health conditions, some of which that include:
You\'ll work in partnership with the Psychiatrists and doctors, therapists and counsellors in order to holistically manage and treat their conditions and disorders. Assessment will be done through a range of techniques including interviews, counselling sessions, observation and psychometric testing. You will be providing a treatment plan that may include personalised counselling or targeted therapy for your client. You\'ll work with individuals, including children, adolescents and adults, as well as families, couples and groups in a range of settings. You\'ll also liaise with other professionals such as social workers, health care staff in hospitals in order to deal with your clients\' complex issues. Assess your clients\' needs, abilities or behaviour using a variety of methods, including psychometric tests, interviews and direct observation of their behaviour
Face to face sessions are prioritized with proper following of the SOP\xe2\x80\x99s laid out during the Covid -19 pandemic.
Devise, monitor and adapt appropriate treatment programmes, including individualised therapy and tailor it according to the needs of patients in collaboration with colleagues and psychiatrists.
Well versed in various modalities of psychotherapies ( some of which are CBT, DBT, MET )
Well versed with DSM-5 and ICD -10 diagnostic tools
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside psychiatrists nurses, social workers, education professionals, health visitors and occupational therapists
Offer therapy and treatments for issues relating to a range of mental health conditions
Be able to conduct psychoeducation classes and group therapy
Develop and evaluate service provision for clients
Provide consultation to other professions, encouraging a psychological approach in their work
Counsel and support carers and families of clients
carry out applied research, adding to the evidence base of practice in a variety of healthcare settings.
Detailed documentation and proper filing of all sessions conducted in order to monitor and discuss their treatment progress.
Writing of proper weekly reports to the families of clients
To ensure reports are written and updated weekly for clinical supervision
Ability to leverage internal and external resources as part of a client treatment plan.
Oncall Duties supervised by the Psychiatrists
