Job Description

Job Brief:Responsible on all regulatory compliance matters within Tune Protect Malaysia, Tune Protect Group and its other subsidiaries, collectively Tune Protect Group of companies, as delegated by the superiors.Job Responsibilities:

• To be knowledgeable all legal statutes, acts, guidelines applicable in the industry and advises on regulatory matters as and when required.
• Assist in managing good governance environment with the implementation of an appropriate compliance policy and the regular review and monitoring of regulatory requirements.
• Assist in stimulation, monitoring and controlling the observation of relevant and applicable laws, rules and standards including the business conduct and ethical standards that are relevant to the Company.
• Assist in liaising with regulators (BNM, PIAM, Labuan FSA, etc.) and provides regulatory compliance perspective on new product, new project, etc.
• Assist to manage internal business process on compliance development including communication of new regulatory requirements to all relevant departments when necessary.
• Assist in monitoring and review to comply with Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (AMLATFPUAA) and other related statutory regulations.
• Assist on ad-hoc requests on matters pertaining to the department and coordinating document information required by regulators.
• Prepare and facilitate visitations by any regulatory bodies, include coordination of documents and information required by the regulatory bodies.
• Assist in monitoring compliance action plans initiated by Management are assessed and reported to the Board.
• Reporting \xe2\x80\x93 Preparation of compliance reports within deadline set.
• Assist in implementing an appropriate system to facilitate compliance activity and monitoring are developed and maintained.
• Assist in updating maintain regulatory submission register and maintain an inventory of all laws and regulations.
• Assist in compliance monitoring and review activities and update on monthly compliance declaration by Business Units if there is any regulatory breaches and/or noncompliance incident reported.
• Ensure safekeeping of Department\'s documents.
• Assist in any other compliance related tasks as and when required.

Job Requirements:

• Degree/Postgraduate or Diploma/Professional qualification in Finance/Accounting/Insurance or equivalent
• At least 8 years working experience in Compliance/Audit/Risk Management Department in the Insurance industry.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken
• High degree of initiative and strong ability to meet principal accountabilities, prioritize and organize work with limited supervision while meeting deadlines.
• Analytical, results driven and positive working attitude.
• Resourceful, meticulous, multi-tasks and a dynamic team player.
• External stakeholder\xe2\x80\x99s management i.e. BNM, PIAM, external auditors, law enforcement agencies.
• Experience in compliance assurance, risk management, business process review and improvement.
• Familiar with regulation/guidelines of BNM, PIAM, Companies Act and Compliance Framework within Insurance Industry.
• A thorough and broad understanding of the insurance industry, especially in general insurance.
• Good communication skills and good teamwork.
• Able to work with tight deadlines.
