About the role
The Regulatory Scientist will partner closely with the Kerry Regulatory & Scientific Affairs team to provide timely, accurate, and consistent regulatory information. This role supports both internal and external stakeholders across the APMEA region, ensuring compliance and enabling business growth through strong regulatory guidance.
Key responsibilities
Ensure product and material compliance with local APMEA regulations and Kerry's internal policies.
Support internal and external stakeholders by providing accurate and standardized technical and regulatory information.
Develop, maintain, and update regulatory documentation in line with company and regional requirements.
Collaborate with RD&A, QA, and Operations teams to review and validate technical documentation.
Engage directly with customers to facilitate regulatory processes and enhance overall customer experience.
Partner with RD&A teams on new product development and innovation projects.
Maintain a strong understanding of food regulations across the APMEA region.
Monitor and interpret regulation updates, review draft legislations, and liaise with government or trade associations as needed.
Share best practices, regulatory insights, and emerging trends across internal teams.
Act as a point of contact for managing regulatory or compliance-related issues within the business.
Provide support during external audits, including supplier communication and coordination with relevant authorities.
Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned by the superior (e.g., audits, regulatory queries, or special projects).
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
Open to fresh graduates or candidates with 1-2 years of relevant experience in regulatory or food-related functions.
Demonstrates the ability to execute functional initiatives effectively.
Contributes to projects and provides input to more complex initiatives.
Possesses a developing understanding of food industry regulations.
Works well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in reading and writing Mandarin (for interpreting China/Taiwan regulations) is an added advantage.
