ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations:

• Assess, plan, establish, organize, direct, control, and coordinate reliability lab activities, test capabilities, and capacities
• Manage all Reliability and failure analysis (FA) Lab operations.
• Ensure equipment preventive maintenance is performed \xe2\x80\x93 as scheduled
• Ensure equipment calibration is performed with daily calibration, uniformity, MSA, temperature and humidity profile monitoring.
• Responsible to coordinate and schedule loading plans with regular feedback to internal customers
• Initiate purchase requests (PR) and orders (PO) for all spares and tools as needed
• Responsible for maintaining all records and traceability for Reliability or FA requests \xe2\x80\x93 sample handling, storage retention, disposition and data archiving.
• Maintain weekly updates on key performance indicators (KPI, dashboard), such as failure rates, on-time delivery, tool incidences and others
• Thorough planning and management of lab supplies, consumables, and spare parts.
• Weekly update to management on lab operation status.
• Define and drive a continuous improvement plan for the Lab
• Always complies to the Environment, Health and Safety and Manufacturing Quality standards, rules and regulations
• Performs other duties may be assigned

Supervision:

• Lead and guide Technicians, Interns, Junior Engineers and Operators to assigned tasks
• Define Roles & Responsibilities for the operational team
• Provide guidelines for each testing procedure, work instructions and equipment maintenance
• Develop and provide training plans for new hires, refresher and cross training as applicable

Compliance and Regulations

• Assure system and documentation are updated
• Work on continuous updates for identified risks (HIRAC)
• Install and sustain 5S according to site guidelines and automation support
• Responsible for updating and maintaining all standard operating procedures (SOP) pertaining to Reliability or FA Lab operations.
• Ensure testing is done correctly and in accordance to defined procedures.

Engineering:

• Provide guidance to requestors on sampling plans and strategy for engineering changes
• Support for Reliability and FA test reports
• Out of Control Action Plan (OCAP) performance monitoring and updates
• Identify test improvement opportunities
• Represent the Reliability Lab during System Audits & Process audits
• Support on new tool qualification and setup
• Align with other Labs at Maxeon to streamline established processes
• Participate in SPS and Kaizen activities as needed
• Participate in Reliability Team meetings across other sites for alignment
• Monitor all operational costs within approved budgets and work on cost reduction opportunities
• Ensure that project milestones and deliverables are met

Related Experience & Educational Requirements:

• B.S. degree in Engineering and 4+ years of related experience or M.S. Degree and 2+ years or Ph.D. and 0+ years
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability using statistical and process knowledge
• Familiar with data analysis tools such as JMP or Minitab
• Define and establish statistical process control charts and PFMEA as needed
• Experience with product, test development engineering, and hands-on experience in Reliability testing methodologies according to industry standards.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with cross-functional teams, management teams, and customers.
• Good software skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of quality control tools such as Flowchart and Fishbone diagram, 8D problem-solving tool, and SPC such as control charts and histograms.
• Able to communicate in English as the primary language. Good writing skills in English.
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate priorities and initiatives.
• Lab startup experience would be an advantage.
• Proven ability to strive for continuous improvement.

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Willing to travel in Asia and the US up to 5% of the time

Preferred requirements

• Proven record of working very effectively and efficiently
• Basic familiarity with solar cell and solar panel manufacturing
• Substantial knowledge in reliability engineering and testing
• Good understanding of people and business principles
• Solid knowledge of laboratory and equipment safety standards
