Main accountabilities

Undertake small to medium-sized IT projects assigned

Coordinate, diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for cases assigned by Service Desk

Perform general office, admin duties and miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by Superior

Manage parts replacement

Analyze breaWfix issues and work with empathy and sense of urgency to deliver solutions to meet customer/partner needs.

Collaborate with internal teams in identifying product defects, designing solutions, and testing.

Ensure that a high level of customer service and support is provided to all internal and external customers

Work effectively with cross-functional teams

Other business assignments:
As assigned by HOD.

Degree of independent decision-making:

75% of independent decision can be made by this position * 25% of decision need to be rectified by direct Manager.

Level of innovation and initiative:

Medium level of innovation and initiative.

Degree of influence on departmental / function / NECoMAL results:

Moderate degree

Communication / Interaction with others internally or externally:

Communication and interaction with both internal & external stakeholder of NECoMAL.

Discussions with internal team on issues, provide quality inputs, propose constructive feedback and solicit collective agreement to address gaps or process improvement.

External parties: Clients, partners and vendors.

Percentage of job scope i.e. working away from the home country :

• 100% of major job scope is in Malaysia
• Home country= Malaysia

Education

Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Computer Science, IT or related fields.

Work experience

Minimum 3 years IT experience in customer facing vendor environment

Sincere, positive attitude & keen to leam

Able to work effectively and independently with minimum supervision

Knowledge of working as MIS in company will be advantage

Possess a valid driving license, willing to travel outstation, work after office hours and weekend/PubIic Holiday. Willing to work extra hours to meet deadlines, as required

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Proven aptitude in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while meeting critical SLAs and deadlines.

Strong working knowledge in Operating System Software (Microsoft Windows and/or Redhat Linux).

Working knowledge of network and system architectures such as desktops, servers, storage, databases, load balancers, security, data backup/restore and router/switches.

Certifications in any of these areas will be an advantage: Red Hat, MCP, CCNA, Juniper, VMware, Hyper-V
