\xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct legal research on competition law and other areas of law; \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare legal opinions on competition law and other legal issues; \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in providing legal inputs on the outcome of the MyCC\xe2\x80\x99s investigation and enforcement activities; \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in dealing with appeal cases and other litigation matters; \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct case reviews; \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in the vetting of MyCC\xe2\x80\x99s agreements; \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist with the handling and managing of the Legal Division\xe2\x80\x99s filing system; \xe2\x80\xa2 Preparation of discussion notes and minutes of meeting; \xe2\x80\xa2 Liaise with consultants and external parties on behalf of the Legal Division; \xe2\x80\xa2 Conduct reviews and comparative studies on competition law legislations and guidelines of other countries; \xe2\x80\xa2 Assist in the carrying out of public consultations; and \xe2\x80\xa2 Other tasks directed from time to time.

Its main role is to protect the competitive process for the benefit of businesses, consumers and the economy. Commission\xe2\x80\x99s Main Functions The Competition Commission Act 2010 empowers the Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC) to carry out functions, such as to implement and enforce the provisions of the Competition Act 2010, issue guidelines in relation to the implementation and enforcement of the competition laws, act as an advocate for competition matters; carry out general studies in relation to issues connected with competition in the Malaysian economy or particular sectors of the Malaysian economy; inform and educate the public regarding the ways in which competition may benefit consumers and the economy of Malaysia.
