Key elements to the job:To be familiar with computer systems, windows based PC
To be confident in using internet and to send and receive emails.
To understand the product, know all the rooms, their nightly rate, and be aware of their standard set up.
Able to learn the history of the house in order to give correct information to guest when questioned.
Must be able to answer phones- liase with guests as and when required and to learn about different elements of the operation.
To supervise hotel daily reservations activities according to given standard operating procedure.
To work closely with General Manager, Operations Manager and Housekeeping Manager with regards to any reservations related matters and transactions.
To have a working knowledge of other relevant departments on how they relate to the Reservation Department.
To attend to guest complaints and inquiries relating to reservations.
To be familiar with online system Duve in order to communicate with guests pertaining to special amenities or special request instructions upon reservation process.
To assist the Operations Manager and General Manager with regular daily admin duties.
To monitor the allocation and assignment of rooms.
To be aware of constant changes in room tariffs, contracted and package rates, promotions, etc.
To strictly follow the policy of selective selling and to weigh the value of each request before acceptance.
To be knowledgeable of all areas in the Front Office and to perform all duties as assigned.
