Jacobs is looking for a Resident Engineer to join one of our Rail and Transit projects. The successful candidate will work as a member of the project team and be based initially in Kuala Lumpur, before relocating to Johor Bahru in the second half of 2024. This role requires the successful candidate to monitor the installation of the Signalling and Telecommunication Systems. actively participate in meetings and working sessions to help resolve technical issues as they arise. work closely with the project management team to ensure successful delivery of the installation, testing and commissioning works review inspection/test procedures and reports to confirm equipment performance meets contract requirements; perform inspections and quality checks of installed assets to ensure work is carried out in compliance to industrial practices / regulations; witness tests and record the outputs and actions; collaborate with contractors for open items, modification works, testing and commissioning activities; prepare progress reports for submission to the Client Here\'s What You\'ll Need As a key member of the project team, you will be expected to have significant relevant years of professional experience installing and commissioning signalling and/or telecommunication system installations in metro or rail projects which includes the following; The candidate is required to have leadership abilities and experience managing projects are important traits for Resident Engineers; an ability to manage multiple workstreams, balancing priorities, making value and delivery judgements decisions to meet our client\'s expectations. Candidates will have an accredited Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or or hold an equivalent professional qualification.; registered with Board of Engineers, Malaysia Have significant relevant years of professional experience installing and commissioning signalling and/or telecommunication system installations in metro or rail projects; Discharge safety responsibilities in relation to CDM Regulations, Health and Safety legislation, Company procedures including development of the project Safety Plan Be skilled in oral and written communication and a team player, flexible to the needs of the project; Willing to travel to meet project needs.
