Jacobs is looking for a Resident Engineer to join one of our Rail and Transit projects. The successful candidate will work as a member of the project team and be based initially in Kuala Lumpur, before relocating to Johor Bahru in the second half of 2024.

This role requires the successful candidate to:

• monitor the installation of the Signalling and Telecommunication Systems.
• actively participate in meetings and working sessions to help resolve technical issues as they arise.
• work closely with the project management team to ensure successful delivery of the installation, testing and commissioning works.
• review inspection/test procedures and reports to confirm equipment performance meets contract requirements;
• perform inspections and quality checks of installed assets to ensure work is carried out in compliance to industrial practices / regulations;
• witness tests and record the outputs and actions;
• collaborate with contractors for open items, modification works, testing and commissioning activities;
• prepare progress reports for submission to the Client
