We are seeking passionate and customer-focused Retail Coordinators to join our 24-hour bookstore team at Sunway Square Mall. As a Retail Coordinator, you'll be the face of the store, greeting customers, assisting with book selections, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. You will also help maintain store standards, support inventory efforts, and contribute to promotions and events. This is an ideal role for book lovers with a warm personality, strong attention to detail, and a genuine drive to serve.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet and engage customers with warmth and professionalism.
Provide personalised book recommendations and product knowledge.
Guide customers in finding titles and navigating store sections.
Process sales transactions at the cashier accurately and efficiently.
Maintain clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing display areas.
Participate in in-store events, marketing activities, and sales promotions.
Assist with stock takes, receiving deliveries, and routine inventory checks.
Handle customer inquiries, returns, and complaints with care and clarity.
Foster a welcoming and helpful atmosphere on the shop floor at all times.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Retail, Business, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing retail or service role.
Friendly, approachable personality with a love for books and people.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive in responsibilities.
Flexible with scheduling and able to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays (24-hour store operations).
