The Revenue Analyst is responsible for the accounting, recognition, reconciliation and analysis of revenue-related accounts while ensuring compliance with both management and fiscal reporting requirements. He/she engages with different process towers in the Finance Hub to ensure effective revenue management and to provide the Division GeoUnit finance and operational organizations the necessary financial support and business insights facilitating business decision-making.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Prepare and complete the Contract Assessment Form (CAF) to ensure control over high-value contracts.
  • Perform CAF completeness check. Understand revenue determination and accounting in accordance with Revenue Determination Sheet (RDS) for nonroutine contracts.
  • For scope under SAP ERP, perform Pre and Post Revenue Cost Association (RCA) analysis. Review and approve any RCA exemption.
  • Review revenue recognized through the period and reconcile against sales orders.
  • Review deferred revenue and follow up any pending action items.
  • Validate and perform any manual revenue adjustments, if necessary, such as transfers, provisions, deferrals and/or accruals in accordance with the Schlumberger Financial Manual (SFM), policies and procedures.
  • Perform the Revenue Recognition Matrix (RRM) reporting completeness check.
  • Review Letter of Award (LOA), Letter of Intent (LOI) and other valid forms of persuasive evidence of arrangement (PEA). Report to RRM in accordance with SFM, as applicable.
  • Provide month on month (MoM) revenue analysis by client and revenue type (Product, Service and Reimbursable) to the operation to ensure revenue reported in accordance to business expectations.
  • Prepare revenue-related balance sheet accounts reconciliations. Provide adequate supporting documentation. Identity any risks, exposures and action items. Certify completeness of balance sheet notes.
  • Perform Balance Sheet Exposure (BSX) reporting and follow up on the timely closure of action items.
  • Execute internal controls in accordance with set control framework.
  • Understand and comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for management and fiscal reporting.
  • Assist on any ad hoc requests as required by management, internal and external auditors.

Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a financial role
  • Prior Experience Examples: Financial Analyst or Business Analyst
  • Experienced in Blackline & MS Office tools, especially in Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Effective communication skill in English
  • Intellectually curious, analytically rigorous, good business intuition
  • Strong team player
