Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Manufacturing & Operational Safety

Develop and enforce safety procedures for flexitank production (cutting, impulse, forklift handling, and etc.) Conduct regular HIRARC, risk assessments, and safety audits Investigate accidents and near-misses; implement corrective actions Ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE and safety equipment

Building & Facility Safety

Monitor security system, fire safety systems, electrical safety, emergency exits, and ventilation Conduct facility inspections and coordinate safety during maintenance or renovation projects Organize fire drills and emergency response training Liaise with BOMBA, DOSH, and other regulatory agencies for inspections and approvals

Scheduled Waste & Environmental Compliance

Manage all scheduled waste in compliance with

Environmental Quality (Scheduled Wastes) Regulations 2005

Label, store, record, and arrange licensed disposal of scheduled waste Maintain accurate waste logs and documentation for audits Coordinate waste collection with authorized waste contractors Ensure environmental safety standards are met throughout the facility Liaise with DOE and other regulatory agencies related to environmental compliance. Support the development and implementation of workplace sustainability programs Monitor and report on resource consumption (energy, water, waste reduction)

General HSE Management

Implement and update HSE policies and procedures Maintain comprehensive safety training and inspection records Lead HSE Committee meetings and reporting (OKK, ERT, etc.) Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory HSE obligations Oversee all renewals and ensure compliance with ISO, DOSH standards and others regulatory compliance (e.g., Certificate of Fitness (CF). Stay up to date and ensure compliance with safety, quality, health, and environmental regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, HACCP). Ensure robust policies and documentation to shield the company and its officers from heightened penalties and liabilities.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management (

CePSWAM

) added advantage. 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing Strong knowledge of OSHA, EQA, and other relevant safety and environmental legislation

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
