Description

Genral :

Responsible for ongoing development and administration/execution of plant Loss Control program. Develops, recommends, and ensures implementation of new and/or improved health, safety, security and environment standards to maintain plant compliance with government regulations, company standards and to meet corporate health and safety objectives. Also, serves as a focal point for plant issues related to fire protection, environmental quality and security.

Task Profile: (Individual duties, assignments and responsibilities required of the position)

• Examines plans and specifications for new machinery and plant layouts to ensure proper safety applications are in place (guarding, ergonomics, etc.).
• Counsels with employees who have health and safety-related concerns or problems.
• Develops and conducts specialized training and health & safety awareness programs.
• Attends monthly health & safety staff meetings, participates in related training sessions, and interacts to ensure corporate consistency in program application.

• Responsible of the firefighting, ERT team, safety and health committee and liaise with various Government Department (DOSH, BOMBA and department of environment).
• To ensure the emergency procedures are inform /communicated with all workers.
