Job Description

Job Requirements/Responsibility: Ensure all work carried out for the project is complying with the HSE policy and procedures. To plan, develop, improve/updates the Safety Policies and Procedures, where necessary. Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measure. Responsible for verifying that injury logs and reports are completed and submitted to the relevant government agencies. To maintain records of safety information to meet or comply with government requirement. To monitor all aspects of SHE tasks in the workplace and accessing hazardous area to ensure employee safety. Interact with various authorities such as DOSH, DOE, BOMBA and KPDNKK whenever required. To conduct safety briefing for visitor and new join employee. To conduct and coordinate emergency response training to staff. To prepare and maintain all SHE related documentations. Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management. Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker\xe2\x80\x99s compensation claims. Any other duties assigned by the Management from time to time. Qualifications: At least 2-year experience in Safety and Health or related field. Proficient in MS office/Excel/PowerPoint; Working knowledge of safety management information system is a plus Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics Proven experience as safety officer In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures Knowledge of potentially hazardous material and practices Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Experience in manufacturing and construction is added value
