1. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

  • To assist, support, planning, implementation, and development of the Company business through specification and grow in sales, marketing. by promoting Denka range of products and system of solutions in construction market. The market segments covering Buildings, Infrastructure & Civil Engineering, Industrial Floorings and Concrete Repairs. The territory coverage includes the Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak).
  • To achieve the level of sales turnover and profitability according to annual budget by develop market segments in the central & east coast region, secure and optimize sales volume, collection, and profitability.
  • Strictly adhere to the company procedures and complied with ISO requirements.
2. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Diploma / Degree Holder or equivalent in Sales & Marketing with Civil / Chemical Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Building Science knowledge or background with good English speaking and Computer Microsoft knowledge and skills.
  • Field sales / specification experience:
5 years and above experience in Sales & Marketing or Specification Sales role with knowledge in building and construction chemical material products, possess a valid driving license with own transport and willing to travel within Malaysia for business purposes.
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships with customers, strong negotiation skills and able to close the deal.
  • Added advantage to those who able to read and understand drawings. Proficient in MS Office packages and CAD program.
  • Demonstrable sound business judgement and the ability to lead in a \xe2\x80\x9cteamwork\xe2\x80\x9d environment are essential.

3. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To ensure a high level of market penetration and coverage, and adequate level of customer service, technical service, after-sales service, and to find new application and project to adopt Denka product into civil engineering and building project.
  • To recommend and update new products in the market and evaluate the potential for future marketing and find new customer, application and project to adopt Denka product into civil engineering and building project.
  • To develop and maintain good relationship with Customer, Specifiers, Government Departments and Key Accounts with adequate level of customer service to enhance Denka brand in the marketplace.
  • To assist in planning and organizing marketing promotion activities such as advertising campaign, conferences, products presentations and exhibitions nationwide. To prepare marketing tools such as product literatures, advertising materials, marketing presentation tools, corporate brochures, corporate gifts, samples and etc.
  • To cover Specification nationwide, includes Product Presentation to Project Based requirement and require the input from the Technical Department in some circumstances and to promote and propose the best product mix for project to be specified to gear towards Specification protection with best profit.
  • To ensure the availability of stocks and to closely gear the stock position to the actual needs of the market and financial objectives of the company.
  • To ensure efficient control and collection of trade debts from the customers according to the agreed credit facilities.
  • To provide regular feedback on the general market conditions, trends, and competitors moves in the assigned regions and to collect and analyze basic market information particularly market trends and competitor\'s activities in Sales & Marketing and Specification in the Regions & Segments.
  • To update firsthand information to direct report on all matters directly or indirectly related to specification, sales and marketing and the organization by providing input on the progress of Project Tracking related to Specification and communicate within the Sales Team on upcoming projects.To update and prepare weekly sales reports and material forecast on a timely basis.
  • To perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by General Manager - Sales.
