Sales Engineer (Chemical Pumps Manufacturer)

Job description

The Company:

A Malaysian engineering company that provides solutions for chemical transfer and dosing in various industries, including water treatment, agriculture, livestock, cleaning, glove production, chemical manufacturing, and metalworking.

Responsibilities

• Develop a new customer base and foster growth in target industries while maintaining existing customer relationships.
• Conduct proactive sales calls and visits to identify new sales opportunities within target industries.
• Engage in consultative selling by addressing customers\' technical and process challenges.
• Translate customer requirements into technical specifications and select or design suitable equipment or solutions.
• Prepare and present technical proposals and quotations for customer projects.
• Provide on-site supervision for installation, commissioning, testing, training, and site services when required.
• Cultivate a deep technical understanding of our products and their applications.
• Regularly report on sales activities.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferably have a minimum of 3-4 years of sales experience in industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of various pump types such as AODD Pump, Centrifugal Pump, and Metering Pump is advantageous.
• Understanding of general industrial operations and procurement processes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Possess analytical and entrepreneurial thinking.
• Proficient in written, spoken, and reading English and Malay.
• Hold a valid driver\'s license and have access to a car.
• Willingness to travel outstation 10-30% of the time.
