An exciting Sales Engineer job based in Penang has just been made available with one of the leading manufacturers of high-quality sensor, identification and network solutions as well as software for integrated system solutions for automation requirements.

About the Sales Engineer Role:
Reporting to the Sales Director, you will proactively develop new business, hunt for new opportunities and close deals

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet up with customers and be the first interface to them in Penang area and occasionally surrounding states
• Be responsible for revenue, profit and to achieve sales targets
• Upsell and cross-sell company automation products: industrial sensors, power supplies, cables, transducers, RFID, vision cameras and networking devices
• Prepare and demonstrate technical concepts and product information to customers
• Handle customer requests and propose adequate solutions
• Represent and promote the company brand at customers in the Semiconductor, F&B, Packaging and Automotive industry
• Cooperate with the technical and back-office colleagues

To succeeed in this Sales Engineer role, you must be customer-oriented and knowledge in sensor applications or other automated systems is an added advantage.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Automation, Controls or related fields
• At least three years\' working experience in industrial automation. IO Link knowledge is an added advantage
• Existing network within industrial manufacturing companies in Malaysia is preferable
• A self-motivator with initiative, drive and strong desire to succeed
• Passion for cold calling and customer communication
• High proficiency in English (speaking and writing)
• Must own a car and is ready to travel
