The Sales Engineer will be responsible for growing business footprint in Johor by identifying opportunities, providing technical solutions for sealing, gaskets, pump/valve refurbishment, and after-sales support. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge (seals, gaskets, maintenance) with commercial acumen, and strong customer-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, develop, and manage sales opportunities in Johor state for business's core products & services
Liaise with clients in relevant sectors such as oil & gas, marine, chemical plants, power generation, water/waste water, etc. to understand their needs and propose appropriate solutions.
Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and conduct technical presentations.
Work with internal technical / engineering / maintenance teams to ensure that customer specifications are met
Perform site visits, surveys, and inspections to assess client requirements, provide recommendations, and follow through on installations or maintenance works.
After?sales support: ensure customer satisfaction, follow up on performance, address product or service issues, manage maintenance / refurbishment schedules.
Meet or exceed sales targets (monthly, quarterly, annually) as set by management.
Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, customer databases and report regularly to the GM
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field.
Previous experience (1?3 years or more) in technical sales, especially in industrial equipment sectors preferred. Experience in Oil & Gas / Marine is a plus.
Technical understanding of the products
Good interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Self?motivated, result oriented, ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to travel within Johor, and occasionally to other states for client meetings or site work.
Valid Malaysian driving licence and own transport preferred.
Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English (both written and spoken).

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
