This role is primarily responsible for leading the hotel's sales team and driving overall revenue growth through strategic planning, business development, and key account management. The Sales Manager oversees the implementation of sales strategies across all market segments, builds strong client relationships, and ensures sales targets are consistently achieved. By analyzing market trends, optimizing sales performance, and collaborating with other departments, the Sales Manager plays a vital role in maximizing the hotel's occupancy, profitability, and market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share goals.
Lead, motivate, and support the sales team to ensure high performance and productivity.
Identify new business opportunities and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to guide sales planning.
Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance analyses for management.
Collaborate with Marketing, Revenue, and Operations teams to align business objectives and ensure service excellence.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in hotel sales or a similar role.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and hotel CRM/sales systems (Opera).
Applicants must be Malaysian citizens.
