Job Description




1.1 To carry out the Sales & Marketing strategy plan and sales activities which we have set in the Sales & Marketing Plan to ensure hotel goal is being achieved.

1.2 A determine action plan is required from the Sales Manager to meet the set sales target/goal by setting a SMART goal theory.

1.4 To perform a minimum of 5 sales call daily and 3 hotel inspection or entertainment weekly and attend to walk in guest at all times.

1.5 To carry out Sales Trip to the assigned state or overseas for business opportunity in order to achieve the hotel goal. A details action plan is required from the Sales Manager.

1.6 To carry out Sales blitz monthly together with the sales team and involve other departments to establish contacts and to reach out to the guests surrounding our vicinity.

1.8 To ensure reply all business leads and inquiry in a timely manner within 24 hours.

1.9 To follow up closely within 24 hours on all proposal and agreement sent out daily.

1.10 To chair the sales meeting during the absence of the DOSM and share the budget and hotel performance within the sales team.

1.11 To collaborate with the Sales Team together with the DOSM in preparing the budgets and monitoring the expenses.

1.12 To assist the DOSM to guide and support the sales team ie Assistant Sales Manager, Sales

Executive and Sales Coordinator on their daily duty, business inquiries, competitor reading update, event handling, department operation matter & etc to ensure they are into the right direction to achieve the hotel goal.

1.13 Conduct market research to identify opportunity for any promotion or grow of business require during the high, shoulder and low period to capture more market shared.

1.14 To attend necessary training courses organised by Training Department which is related to the Sales & Marketing aspect to enhance the efficiency of job task to be completed. To conduct a training to share the knowledge with the sales team after the attended any training courses.

1.15 To ensure that the entire hotel\'s policies and procedures from all departments are adhered to within the operations.

1.16 To maintain a good relationship with all departments in order to have a smooth operation during the guests stay or event.

1.17 To attend HOD morning briefing during the absence of DOSM and chair the department morning briefing or debrief daily.

1.18 To be puncture at work.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

Bachelor\'s Degree of Diploma of Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management or Tourism, Business Administration or related field preferred

LANGUAGES:

Fluent English, a second language will be an advantage (better if it\'s the same where the hotel is based).

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:

Opera System

Microsoft Office

WORK EXPERIENCE IN OTHER COMPANIES (IN CASE OF EXTERNAL SELECTION):

3-5 years in a similar position in large hotels or international companies.

WORK EXPERIENCE IN MHI (IN CASE OF INTERNAL PROMOTION):

2 years in the company in similar position in large hotels.
