Job Description


You will lead sales efforts for industrial coatings in Northern Malaysia, specifically focusing on the states of Kedah, Penang, and Perak. The role includes creating a growth strategy, identifying important customers, and coordinating with the regional team for technical support. The responsibilities include implementing sales and marketing plans, providing support to customers on-site, addressing quality and technical issues, exploring new business opportunities, monitoring the market and competitors, managing credit control, improving sales forecast accuracy, and collaborating with the technical team to minimize business impact from returns and quality issues. You will be reporting to Business Manager. Main Responsibilities Lead the territory sales for the Industrial Coatings in Northern Malaysia segment, articulating a growth strategy for the state of Kedah, Penang & Perak in agreement to the Malaysia strategy, identifying key customers to drive growth. Communicate with members of the regional team to get the right level of technical and product support to achieve planned business results. Drive the implementation of defined sales and marketing action plans to achieve the sales, PC targets for the segment. Provide on-site support to PPG customers. Work together with the technical manager and the manufacturing/QA/QC team to tackle quality, technical and product performance issues as and when it arises. Develop new market and business opportunities, ensuring consistent sales orders and repeat business. Conduct periodic market surveys, monitor competitors\' activities and provide up-to-date feedback on market development. To manage the credit control process and ensure AR policies are implemented. Meet WC targets (DSO and DOI) Liaise with the Demand Manager/Sales Administrator to improve sales forecast accuracy. Liaise with the technical team to monitor and manage the RAs and work towards minimizing the SSPL impact to the business. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial sales and marketing in the paint sector Demonstrated strategic acumen to envision growth for the segment and identify necessary resources. Ability to provide insightful techno-commercial perspectives for prioritizing business opportunities. Excellent customer relationship management skills Openness to learning and adapting to new challenges.
