The Sales Manager assists the Business Development department in leading and supervising the Sales Team. He / she oversees and directs all aspects of the negotiation and coordination process as well as the successful handling of Corporate / FIT / M.I.C.E. Social / Tour & Travel events as assigned. This role leads the Sales team to ensure smooth operation of the department to maximize business opportunities and deliver the highest service standards. \xc2\xb7 Respond to enquiries for functions (by telephone and walk-in guest). \xc2\xb7 Assess the physical requirements of the proposed function (no. of pax, time, and type of function) and reserve an appropriate venue for the client in the banquet reservation system. \xc2\xb7 Discuss with the clients further details pertaining to an event: menu, beverage, budget, and miscellaneous arrangements. \xc2\xb7 Prepare proposal letter based on the clients\xe2\x80\x99 requirements, ensures 8 hours response time or not more than 24 hours based on the department SOP. \xc2\xb7 Follow up with clients on proposals and finalize all the arrangements. \xc2\xb7 Issue instructions for functions to all departments via the event order, with minimum 7 days prior to the actual event. \xc2\xb7 Supervise the work of Sales Coordinator (B&C) who prepares and distributes instructions and other correspondence. \xc2\xb7 Supervise the preparation of arrangements of the concerned function to ensure everything is in order, proactively guiding the client to ensure the event\xe2\x80\x99s success. \xc2\xb7 Liaise with Banquet Service, Bar Manager, Kitchen, Stewarding, Engineering, Art Department (or other) prior to the function. \xc2\xb7 If on duty, greet the client during the course of the function, to ensure that everything goes smoothly and introduce the Banquet Operations Manager. \xc2\xb7 Prepare the Banquet Evaluation Letter after the function. \xc2\xb7 Maintain regular contacts with the banquet clients. \xc2\xb7 Control expenses relating to the function to ensure maximum net profit. \xc2\xb7 Prepare necessary Sales Reports (B&C) as assigned by the Director / Assistant Director of Sales (B&C). \xc2\xb7 Attend, whenever require, the banquet coordination meeting with all Banquet & Catering Sales Team Members, Executive Chef, Chief Steward, Beverage Manager, Banquet Operations Manager and F&B Service Manager to communicate the specific information of the requirements of all forthcoming functions and events. \xc2\xb7 Conduct, on a daily basis (in the absence of Senior Sales Manager), the banquet coordination meeting with all Banquet & Catering Sales Team Members, Executive Chef, Chief Steward, Beverage Manager, Banquet Operations Manager and F&B Service Manager to communicate the specific information of the requirements of all forthcoming functions and events. \xc2\xb7 To monitor or trace on daily basis of all reservation made in the Banquet Reservation System, i.e. prospect, wait list, etc to maintain forecast accuracy. \xc2\xb7 Ensure credit policy is adheres to with all bookings and all monies are received in the correct time frame. Highlight every issues immediately to DOS / Credit Manager. \xc2\xb7 Undertake \xe2\x80\x9cSpecial Projects\xe2\x80\x9d as assigned by the DOS, C&B. Salary: RM3,800.00 - RM5,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Putrajaya: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Preferred)
Education:
  • Diploma/Advanced Diploma (Preferred)
Experience:
  • Sales Marketing: 2 years (Preferred)
