Requirements:
To assist the Business Development/Sales Manager/General Manager in overseeing and managing the Business Department.
To secure new customers, service existing customers, attend to customers' requests, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Prepare quotations pertaining to Airfreight, Sea freight, Trucking, Warehousing, etc. according to customer requirements.
Requisition and negotiation of rates with Airlines/GSA, Shipping Lines/coloaders/NVOCCs, and related industry sub-contractors.
To send sales leads to overseas group offices and agents to generate additional business overseas.
To secure Routing Orders import and prepare shipping instructions for all nominated inbound shipments for both air & sea.
To meet and achieve monthly and yearly sales targets. Also, prepare Daily Sales Appointment Reports and Sales Reports and write up a profile of every new prospective customer visited, and each week to submit Sales Report to the SM/General Manager and/or other HOD assigned.
To follow up closely and collect payments from debtors & to submit Credit Applications to GM/AGM/Acct Dept. for each new client secured when credits are requested.
Coordinate & provide seamless feedback to/from our Customer Service and Operation staff on any special arrangements requested by/offered to customers to ensure smooth & excellent service.
To assist the Business Development/Sales Manager in achieving the Business Development department's goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
STPM / Diploma / Degree holders in Marketing, Mass Communications, Business Administration, or Transport with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the forwarding industry.
Must be computer literate (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Must possess own transport with a valid license and be able and willing to travel extensively.
