Job Description


Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia\'s Industrial Division is recruiting on behalf of a leading MNC in manufacturing, supply, and distribution of polyether, poly-ol and electronic chemical materials. Our client is looking to hire a dedicated Sales Representative to lead the sales team in Malaysia and build footprint within the region. The successful incumbent will be reporting directly to General Manager and will be based in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

Job Summary:

  • Accountable for running Sales activities, account management, as well as necessary technical assistance to the customers.
  • Overall objective is to produce, grow and deliver targeted business results.
  • Focusing on creating a business value to both company & the customers being part of customers\' team, resources, and insights, helping customers to achieve their business goals.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Understand in-depth customer\'s business, challenges, and key success factors.
  • Provide a solution to customers\' problems connecting the dot between customer\'s problem and HPU\'s polyurethanes Technology and products.
  • Build, grow and strengthen a quality relationship with all key stakeholders of customers.
  • Work closely with customers to align with and capture a new business opportunity.
  • Assist customers in the buying process to make buying easy and painless.
  • Initiate and bring in a new idea and insights into the customer business.
  • Be fast and responsive to the customers\' needs.
  • Challenge & coach customers into a better way of doing business.
  • Demonstrate empathy to customers\' pain and suggest a way to overcome an issue.
  • Mobilize company\'s supporting team & resources to assist customers.
  • Assist in preparing business plans to deliver and achieve a business target (revenue, volume, CM%) or monitor AR minimizing the exposure to any financial risks.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, TS, and Supply Chain and others related departments to bring out the right solutions, services, products, and technology to the customers at the most effective and efficient way.
  • Submit a monthly sales report.
  • Provide inputs for demand forecast accuracy (OMP).
  • Position & promote company positively in the eyes of Markets (customers, all stakeholders).
  • Managing the pricing
  • Monitor and report market dynamics.
  • Monitor competitor strategies, products and anticipate future competitors\' movements.
  • Assist in SWOT & Competition analysis together with the GM.
  • Search and explore for an untapped and downstream to pursuit a new business opportunity creating a new source of growth.
  • Ensure that all work undertaken is carried out in full compliance with company\'s EHS procedures & policies, strive for continuous improvement in safety performance.
  • Maintain awareness and practice of EHS procedures and standards.
  • Conduct the business activities in accordance with the company\'s practice compliance policy.
  • Stay up to date with knowledge of the relevant laws and awareness of policy.
  • Assess the implications of business activities in which this position is involved.
Job Requirements:
  • Must possess at least Bachelor\'s Degree or Master in Chemical, and related discipline or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sales (preferably polymer, poly-ols, polyeurethane).
  • Dedicated salesperson to drive new business in the market.
  • Able to work independently and eventually grow/guide a committed sales team.
  • Achievement Oriented.
