Serve as the primary technical contact for the sales team and customers. Provide expert advice on valve applications, selection, sizing, and material specifications. Help troubleshoot and resolve technical issues both pre- and post-sale.
Proposal & Quotation Preparation:
Work closely with the sales team to prepare accurate and timely technical proposals and quotations. This includes creating bills of materials, cost estimates, and technical documentation. Ensure all proposals align with customer requirements and company standards.
Customer Engagement:
Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations for customers. Participate in client meetings, site visits, and trade shows to build relationships and understand customer needs.
Order Management & Coordination:
Collaborate with the operations, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure timely order processing and delivery. Track orders and communicate status updates to customers and the sales team.
Market Intelligence:
Stay current on industry trends, competitor products, and new technologies in the valve market. Provide feedback to the product development team to help improve our offerings.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions, technical specifications, and project details in our CRM system.
Qualifications
Experience:
A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a sales support, applications, or technical role within the
valve manufacturing
or distribution industry.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong understanding of various valve types (e.g., ball, gate, globe, butterfly), actuators, and their applications in industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, water treatment, or power generation.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
