Job Description

As a Data Migration Specialist, you will be a member of the global SAP Center of Excellence(COE) working on PPG\xe2\x80\x99s transformation to S4 across the globe. You will work with other members of the Data Migration team and business members of the project to help convert data from Legacy systems to the new S4 environment allowing for the business changes needed to follow the Global Template design. Data is recognized as a lynch pin to the entire S4 project and your role is very important as we transform the data to support improved business processes as we move to S4. You will report to the Data Migration Lead for the S4 Project and the majority of your work will take place to support this project effort. Our project headquarters will be in the Cranberry office, but you will be based in Shah Alam office and be part of our global team.

Main Responsibilities

Learn how to use and become an expert in the use of the SAP Advanced Data Migration tool. Training will be provided.

Work with team members and other project members to create transformation rules for all objects to be converted.

Good technical knowledge of SAP standard migration tools including BAPI calls, IDOCS and general SAP application knowledge.

Experience with the underlying SAP Data Model and how that model supports the applications.

Develop understanding of all conversion objects and the use of that data in the SAP application and PPG Project Management practices and application

Contribute and lead the delivery of full ETL cycle for each object.

Work with Regional Data Experts to modify generic transformation rules to match the needs of individual businesses or plants.

Qualifications

A four-year or higher in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

4 years of IT experience with SAP or other large ERP systems.

2 years of IT experience working with a Data Migration or Data Management team.

Must have experience in gathering requirements, functional design, and working with business processes.

Must be comfortable working remotely using virtual means of collaborating with colleagues, consultants and managers

Must be comfortable working in a large project environment with deadlines and following a project plan.
