Job Description


:This role provides direction and lead a team of professionals handling a variety of financial functions that support company operations in Asia under a good system of internal controls. Financial functions include, but are not limited to Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense Processing, General Accounting and Financial Analysis.An appropriate accounting degree or work experience are required.The incumbent must obtain and maintain an in-depth understanding of various modules of Oracle and related software. A good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and good analytical skills are also required.Responsibilities:Supervise up to five financial professionals from one of the Kuala Lumpur Shared Services teams who:

  • Setup of new suppliers
  • Process invoices
  • Process payments
  • Audit employee expense reports
  • Perform accounts reconciliation
Review the accuracy of items recorded in Oracle and other computer systems.Ensure the establishment and maintenance of adequate and proper controls.Train new team members on Oracle modules and related computer software, and reinforce effective use of software for all team members.Meet necessary monthly closing deadlines.Perform root cause analysis on recurring problems/issues and work to eliminate these concerns.Communicate on a regular basis to local business units or customers supported.Develop subordinates to help them achieve professional growth. (Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback on tasks completed, and assign special projects and other learning experiences)Short term resources planning.Review all work and training manuals and ensure up-to date.Review key performance indicators and Service Level Agreement results. Identify process improvement opportunities.Take corrective actions when necessary.Qualifications:1.FORMAL EDUCATION:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advance/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor\'s Degree.
2.KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
  • This role handles Accounts Payable function that supports the company operations in APAC under a good system of internal controls.
  • Minimum three years of relevant working experience preferably from a Shared Services Environment.
  • Experience working in Oracle work environment. A good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and good analytical skills are also required.
  • A team player, meticulous, able to work under pressure and tight deadline
  • Good command of Mandarin and English, both spoken and written
  • Computer literate and competent in Microsoft office
  • Self Motivated and able to work independently
  • Good attitude and willing to learn
