Conduct daily inspections of scaffolds before use to ensure structural stability and compliance with design specifications.
Verify that all scaffolds meet the required safety standards and tagging (green/red tags) are properly displayed.
Issue inspection reports and certification (Form 6) as per DOSH and company requirements.
Identify unsafe scaffolds and ensure immediate corrective action is taken.
Monitor scaffolders' adherence to proper erection and dismantling procedures.
Report unsafe acts or conditions to the Site Supervisor or HSE team.
Participate in toolbox talks and promote safe work practices.
Coordinate with Site Supervisors, HSE, and Contractors for scheduling scaffold erection, modification, and inspection.
Supervise scaffold teams to ensure workmanship meets safety and quality standards.
Liaise with engineers to confirm load requirements and design specifications.
Assist in planning scaffolding access for critical or high-risk work areas.
Job Requirements:
Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
Certified Scaffolding Inspector (Competent Person) by CIDB/DOSH.
Minimum 3 years of scaffolding experience in construction, oil & gas, or plant environment.
Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems, load capacities, and safety regulations.
Physically fit and attentive to detail with strong safety awareness.
