The school is currently seeking a dynamic and passionate Science Teacher to join a dedicated faculty. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for teaching General Science to students in Years 7, 8, and 9. There is also the exciting opportunity for the right candidate to assume the role of Head of Department (HoD) of Science. Ideally the candidate should also be able to teach Chemistry to Year 11 students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach General Science: Deliver engaging and effective science lessons to students in Years 7-9, fostering a love for the subject and promoting a positive learning environment.
• Curriculum Development: Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the science curriculum, ensuring alignment with educational standards and best practices.
• Student Engagement: Implement innovative teaching methods to actively engage students in the learning process, promoting critical thinking and scientific inquiry.
• Assessment and Feedback: Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow educators, sharing resources and best practices to enhance the overall science education program.
• Potential HoD of Science Role: For the right candidate, there is the possibility to take on the responsibilities of the Head of Department (HoD) of Science, overseeing the science department\'s operations, curriculum development, and staff management.
• Optional Y11 Chemistry Teaching: If qualified and experienced, the candidate may have the opportunity to teach Chemistry to Year 11 students.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Science Education or a related field (Master\'s degree preferred).
• Teaching certification/license.
• Proven experience teaching science to secondary school students.
• Strong knowledge of the science curriculum and educational best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Leadership qualities for potential HoD role.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
