Job Description

Job Purpose:

To assist in the day-to-day export operations via sea freight, ensuring timely and accurate documentation, coordination with internal and external parties, and compliance with relevant shipping regulations and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily shipments operations including daily container delivery plan, directing, controlling and coordinating. Coordinate with other vendors, vessel providers and haulage, warehouse and forwarding for smooth operation flow. Ensure all document is well prepared and update from time to time. Co-ordinate Export freight bookings including Sea (FCL/LCL) / Cross Border Trucking Inland Clearance & Trucking. Manage all administrative matters of freight and customs operations: bookings, orders tracking, documentations, custom declarations, cash outlay co-ordination, shipments follow-up, monitor clearance & deliveries. Manage timely receipt and submission of documentation for import and export of SEA Freight clearance: Permits, Manifest, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of ladings, Certificate of Origin, Hazardous Cargo Declaration etc. Track and trace shipments, researching and resolving any issues regarding billing or shipping discrepancies, communicate timely correspondence to inform management Close Files. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education:

Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Business Administration, International Trade, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 1-2 years in sea freight operations, preferably in the export department.

Skills:

Familiar with shipping documentation and Incoterms. Knowledge of customs clearance procedures and online submission systems. Good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia (written & spoken). Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong communication and coordination skills. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
