Job Description


What will you do:

The S&OP Team Leader will own the SEA business units achieve higher service level by improving demand-supply forecast, drive supply plan attainment, drive & proliferate optimal inventory management across the region, inter-company & supply allocation plan and participate in supply review meetings to align all stakeholders on operational plan linked to business objectives.

This role will drive the S&OP Management and Control process that delivers the products and services at the lowest total system costs while meeting the highest level of customers and consumers satisfaction and at optimal investment in inventory. It also drives global projects to standardize and streamline supply planning management process across SEA entities.

Proactively design and drive demand-supply planning and achieve optimal inventory for the scope defined, i.e. buying entities and/or supply entities:

  • Deliver on Fill rate/OTIF, Compliance to Supply plan, Supply plan fidelity.
  • Responsible for Demand Plan: develop and drive consensus demand plan from historical analysis and considering future business opportunities with commercial/product/NPI teams
  • Responsible for Supply Plan: After Demand plan and inventory alignment in Logility, drive supply improvement plans and ensure bottlenecks are mitigated to achieve business revenue targets.
  • Inventory Management \xe2\x80\x93Develop and execute the roadmap for inventory optimization based on Sales OL and Supplier commitment ETD date at SKU level. Drive inventory as per the guidelines agreed with the management. KPIs to be delivered: Safety/Cycle stocks targets/Inventory turns & DIOH.
  • S&OP transformation \xe2\x80\x93 Work with IT function to implement best technology driven practices in S&OP processes. Drive & Execute Global SC transformation projects (Integrated Supply Chain Solution, SAP, Lean DNA etc.) in close coordination with Global Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing and Manufacturing team. KPIs to be delivered: Roll out of SC tools as planned.
  • Reporting and Analytics \xe2\x80\x93 Publish & report KPI dashboard to track progress vs plan on a weekly/ monthly basis. Build a framework for root cause analysis for variance vs plan for key KPIs. Provide support for MIS (as per requirement) and presentations for key meetings (presentations for SC meet, Quarterly/Annual review meetings etc.) Work with Global S&OP on consolidating and analyzing key KPIs. Engage with Power BI team or Global reporting teams to consolidate reporting/automate where needed and ensure compliance to Global KPI tracking and mechanics
How you will do it:

The role owns the S&OP process. Manage the S&OP team which comprises of a team of demand, supply and inventory planners to manage the following processes and desired outcome:-
  • Responsible for driving, review and release of a monthly Consensus Demand Plan (CDP) after aligning with the buying entities and drive highest Forecast accuracy (FCA) levels.
  • Lead discussion with buying entities to reduce FCA gaps, liase with commercial on process gaps and instill the new CDP process in place and bridge gaps to deliver the best optimal results.
  • Review & release monthly Supply Plan after review with demand planner to all the supplying plants to drive for best lead time and material availability to support Supply plan.
  • Lead discussion with global supply plants to resolve supply shortage issues of critical parts and handle escalations.
  • Deliver improvements in supply planning accuracy and material availability to achieve higher service level at optimal inventory
  • Collaborate with SEA sales entities, manufacturing, global procurement, in factory supply chain team to ensure availability of supply as per desired stock norm delivering higher compliance to monthly supply plan
  • Drive Inventory Management of FG & GIT by deriving the inventory targets and baseline and process for Inventory controls and mechanisms. Managing both demand-supply delivery schedule to meet inventory policy and guidelines and ensuring execution through a standard process
  • Work with IT/Global reporting team to ensure setting up of standard master database for Supply data across all factories, adding Power BI tools to ensure tracking and right tools in place to have best in class reporting mechanism to cater and support KPI tracking and reporting.
  • Drive Weekly SOE review meetings to ensure alignment on supply plan in the short to medium term and resolution of critical shortage issues.
  • Provide guidance for setting up of master database for demand analysis, materials during Logility implementation.
  • Actively participate in the Global Projects to standardize the demand process, material management process across all factories to achieve S&OP guidelines.
  • Actively participate in supply review meeting to achieve consensus for supply plan, facilitate a collaborative planning process with manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain personnel.
  • Drive efficiency in the integrated demand plan, supply planning and optimal inventory plan through logility tool.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and provide visibility of supply through daily/weekly/ monthly exception reports like weekly availability, mitigation plans etc. for critical parts to the buying entities and ensuring the supply plan meets the revenue plan.
What we look for:
  • Minimum tertiary studies in Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s in Statistics/Economics/Maths/Supply Chain/ Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s in technology from an institute/university of repute. Postgraduate will be an added advantage.
  • Relevant experience in Demand or Supply Planning/Inventory and IBP process in a complex multi plant supply network (Intercompany Demand-Supply Network/Hub or Subcon management)
  • More than 6 years of relevant post qualification experience in reputed organizations (Global / American MNCs) with strong manufacturing/managing global suppliers, Central Planning experience with combined demand, supply and inventory controls experiences.
  • Experience in SAP/APO Planning/S4 Hana implementation and process development will be an added advantage. Experience in MRP/ERP planning, demand plannings tools is also an added advantage.
  • Any other project management, NLP qualifications or experiences deemed relevant for the above role will be an added advantage.
