Marifah International School is seeking a dynamic and experienced

Secondary English Teacher

to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching English to adolescents and be able to engage students in developing advanced reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. Secondary Grades

, preparing them for higher-level studies.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the school's curriculum and learning standards for Secondary students. Teach literature, grammar, creative writing, and critical reading, fostering analytical and communication skills. Create a classroom environment that encourages curiosity, respect, and a love for learning. Design, administer, and grade assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of students' performance, attendance, and participation. Integrate technology effectively to support and enhance teaching and learning. Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, teaching strategies, and school events. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and areas for improvement. Participate actively in professional development sessions, meetings, and school activities. Supervise students during assigned duties and assist with co-curricular activities as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred). Minimum 2 years of experience teaching English at the secondary/middle school level, preferably in an international or bilingual school. Strong knowledge of literature, English language structure, and adolescent learning strategies. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Proficiency in integrating technology into classroom instruction. Native-level or fluent English proficiency (spoken and written).

Working Hours:

Monday - Friday: 7:40 AM - 2:30 PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,300.00 per month
