Your Impact:
We are looking for a highly qualified and broadly experienced Theremal Energy Section Leader to lead and build on our existing strong capability in the Renewable Energy market across Asia. Jacobs Asia Pacific Power business continues to grow to meet the needs of our clients who are investing in new renewable power generating capacity and associated infrastructure across the region, and we are looking for strong leadership to take us to the next level of sustained business growth, outstanding culture for our people, and quality delivery for our clients. This position can be based in either Malaysia, Philippines, or Indonesia. At Jacobs, our Energy and Power team is geared towards providing a more integrated approach offering end-to-end service to support our clients in energy networks, thermal generation, renewable generation, and storage solutions space. We are helping our clients meet the challenges faced in countries and cities across the globe, providing innovative solutions for energy transition to developing demand-side management strategies. As part of this growing demand, we seek a Thermal energy leader to deliver innovative solutions to our clients. As the leader of an interconnected team across Asia, you will be focused on growing our core skills and capability to win and deliver services in the renewable energy sector as a consultant and advisor for key project development and execution phases, including feasibility studies, conceptual design, project development services, technical due diligence, and project execution phases. Key elements of this role include:

• Projects \xe2\x80\x93 Lead and oversee the delivery of LNG and Next Generation thermal energy and power projects in the region, as an active Project Manager, Project Director and Portfolio Manager.
• Prospects and Proposals \xe2\x80\x93 Lead the pursuit of prospects with target clients, and lead and prepare proposals for individual opportunities.
• People \xe2\x80\x93 Be responsible for the management of the thermal generation team including continual review and feedback on performance of the team, and day-to-day administrative activities. Support the Director of Operations in development of strategic staffing plans for thermal generation projects across the Asia region.

Here\xe2\x80\x99s What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Need:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in a related field \xe2\x80\x93 including both technical and financial aspects of renewable energy asset development
• Experience in a people management role supervising a multi-cultural team
• Consultancy experience in delivering complex engineering projects in Asia and demonstrated ability to drive team culture to meet challenges and deliver success
• Core knowledge of development cycle for projects and opportunities in the renewable power sector \xe2\x80\x93 preferably across multiple technologies or sub-sectors
• Experience in engaging with clients in the renewable energy sector to bring projects to market
• Cross sector knowledge outside the power sector and an ability to leverage past experiences to provide client confidence in multi-sector delivery
• Understanding of, and experience in, multiple project roles, delivery models and leadership styles.
• Must be able to articulate a clear vision and direction and have good social, networking and presentation skills.
