Security Manager, Operations & Asset Protections

Reports To

Head of Security

Role Purpose

Direct, leads, plans and controls all aspects of security operations

Key Accountability

• Plans, implements and maintain security measures (procedures, effective access control systems/security technologies and intelligence procurement) at all Malaysia Airlines operational areas across the network.
• Directs and controls security measures to protect customers, aircraft, assets, cargo and staff. Ensure measures are operationally sound and are implemented effectively in line with regulator and Company programmes.
• Assesses risks, provides direction, and addresses operational and administrative programmes and quality control.
• Develops emergency and business continuity plans.
• Liaises with applicable security authorities and other external entities as required.
• Participates and represents Security Department in security related meetings, events including technical evaluation and Inquiry session, as required.
• Providing guidance, counsel and consultation to management related to security operation and asset protection matters.
• Maintains effective liaison with law enforcement agencies to enable corporate objectives to be met.

• Degree in any field with 02 years working experience in aviation security or other relevant field with 2-4 years of them in a leadership position Experience in an airline company preferably within the Security Operations-related & department
• Proven executive leadership skills will be highly regarded (proven examples of applying security background and sensibilities to add value to the business)
• Diploma in any field with 04 years working experience in aviation security or other relevant field with 2-4 years of them in a leadership position
• Experience in an airline company preferably within the Security Operations-related & department

• Aquire full understanding of the process and best practices of security processes and activities at operations
• Able to operate system-wide in the investigation capacity, where diplomacy and discretion is always necessary
• Highly developed analytical skills and an ability to solve complex problems, and excellent written communication skills
