Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Background Investigator to join a global team of investigators supporting AMD's Corporate Security organization, reporting to the Senior Manager Asia Investigations. You will work in a challenging environment with diverse responsibilities. This role will require direct interactions with employees at all levels, conducting moderate to complex investigations, and supporting product protection initiatives.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the security field. To be successful, you will need strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, and the ability to gather information and make decisions independently. Being proactive is essential as you prioritize time, schedules, inquiries and information. Strong organizational and communication skills are crucial, as is the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to exercise judgment and initiative with a high degree of flexibility and responsiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Processing background checks for employees and contractors.

Exercise judgment and initiative with a high degree of flexibility.

Facilitate background vendor meetings when required

Use experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes.

Work effectively and establish rapport with other Business Unit functions and BI vendor

Present results of investigations and inquiries using clear and concise methods

Prepare monthly BI data for review

Create blanket PO for background check & Armed Escort vendors

Review & process invoice from vendor (background check & Armed Escort vendors)

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Some understanding of background investigative techniques, methodologies, and legal procedures.

Effectively collaborate and communicate with peers and stakeholders throughout the company in different contexts and at different levels.

Proven track record managing multiple projects or investigations simultaneously and focusing on critical priorities with little supervision.

Strong independent and ethical decision-making with a demonstrated commitment to integrity and compliance.

Proficiency in using related tools and technology.

Experience working with highly sensitive and confidential information.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

A bachelor's degree or an equivalent amount of experience is preferred.
