Job Description


Job Position \xe2\x80\x93 SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ( PASIR GUDANG )s

  • Good in cost accounting (familiarize in absorption costing will be an advantage).
  • Inventory control.
  • Well knowledge in taxation (such as, deferred tax, withholding tax, corporate tax, SST & etc).
  • Good in Excel, PowerPoint and etc.
  • Willing to do hands-on jobs (such as data key in into accounting system).
  • It will be an advantage if has background from audit firm / tax firm / accounting firm.
  • A fast learner who requires less supervision and independent.
  • Well versed with the local accounting, taxation and SST requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Liaison with bankers, auditors, tax agents & statutory authorities and required documents preparation.
  • Assist in month-end closing.
  • Responsible for partial set of accounts.
  • Assist to prepare monthly accounts and quarterly reports.
  • Assist to prepare monthly tax schedules.
  • To ensure adherence to strict month-end, quarter-end and year-end deadlines.
  • To shorten the accounts closing period (the number of days required).
  • To ensure timely and accurate completion of management reports and financial statements.
  • To responsible for accuracy of figures to ensure report quality.
  • To ensure the quality and improve the quality of all the reports prepared by accounts staff.
  • Willing to perform hands-on jobs and ad-hoc assignments.
1) AR
  • Monitor and oversee day to day Accounts Receivable (AR) matters
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of daily receipt voucher and updating of cash book
  • Responsible for the AR function and the accurancy
  • Eensure AR function is executed in an efficient and competents
  • Ensure credit assessment are properly performed in line with the compliance of internal policies, guidelines and procedures
2) AP
  • Monitor and oversee day to day Accounts Payable (AP) matters
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of payment voucher and updating of cash book daily
  • Responsible for the AP function and the accurancy
  • Ensure credit assessment are properly performed in line with the compliance of internal policies, guidelines and procedures
3) GL
  • Monitor and oversee day to day General Ledger (GL) matters
4) Fixed Assets
  • Monitor Fixed Assets Recognition & Inspection
5) Inventory
  • Inventory control by preparing several types of reports
6) Management Accounts
  • Assist to handle full / partial set of accounts
  • Assist to prepare and deliver the Management Accounts on time
7) Auditing
  • Assist to prepare audting reports
8) Taxation \xe2\x80\x93 SST (GST)
  • Monitor GST preparation and submission
  • Check GST Website frequently and update Accounts Staff
9) Taxation \xe2\x80\x93 Coporate Tax & Other Taxes
  • Assist to attend to tax related matters such as tax estimation, corporate tax submission, withholding tax
  • To liase or interface with government tax authorities and tax agents on tax matters
  • Familiar with Malaysia taxation regulations & statutory requirement to ensure compliance with local regulations relating to taxation
10) Others
  • Interact closely with Singapore Branch Office / India Offie / Indonesia Office staff and professional firm
  • Liase with corporate secretary
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports required by management and any other duties assigned by the management from time to time
Requirements
  • The candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Degree in Accounting / Finance / Taxation / Banking / Business Management / Economics or quivalent
  • Min 5 years related working experience in related field
  • Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin
  • The candidate must be personal integrity, trustworthy, accountability, diligent and meticulous
  • Willing to face obstacles and solve troublesome works and handle ambiguity & pressure well
  • Able to multitask, responsible and willing to work hard in a fast paced, high growth work environment
  • Able to meet tight schedule for submission by cut-off date and deadline
  • Willing to work at Pasir Gudang, Johor.
  • Possess own transport
