Job Description

This role requires you to be in charge of assisting the Finance Manager in daily and adhoc matters for the company.

• Responsible for managing the full set of accounts with minimal supervision;
• Responsible for the day-to-day operational matters of the accounts department
• Prepare and perform monthly variance analysis on all expenses against the budget.
• Responsible for Costing and Budgeting on a monthly basis
• Liase with Financial Institutions, auditors, tax agent on accounting, custom officers for SST clearence, and financial related matters.
• Prepare and responsible for the monthly general ledger posting and reconciliations, including but not limit to work-in-progress, prepayments, accruals and taxes
• Prepare and responsible for the year-end financial reporting package in accordance to the Company Accounting Policy and the Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards requirements, including the external audit of such financial statements.
• Assist in annual statutory audit preparation include liase with external auditor in providing information and responding on audit queries
• Prepare, review and analyze the month-end Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Accounts for financial and management reporting purposes (including project and/or business related analysis).
• Prepare and responsible for the bank reconciliations including but not limit to credit card, bank posting and clearing.
• Responsible for cash-flow management and reporting including but not limit to prepare and monitor the weekly cash flow position, timely notification to Corporate Treasury for all intercompany outgoing payments, involve in collection process and liaise with the respective project managers for overdue invoices etc

You will be suitable for this role:

• Have at least a bachelor degree Accounting/Finance/Taxation or other accounting-related fields
• Professional qualification is added advantage (MIA/ACCA/CPA etc)
• At least 3-4 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Experience in construction industry would be an added advantage
• Have great communication skills
