Position Details: The role of a Senior Analyst, R2R is to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the month end closing and related General Accounting activities throughout the APAC region. This requires strict adherence to company policies while working closely with the local affiliates. Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Process Expertise and Business Partnership
  • Will be performing monthly, quarterly and year end closing activities, which includes (but not exhaustive)- Journals preparation, review, reclasses, Electronic Bank Statement monitoring, Cash In transit clearance, FX revaluation, AR/AP reclassification analysis.
  • Be seen as a "go-to" information resource for all GA related queries with full ownership for month end close and reconciliation process.
  • Work closely with local affiliate finance to understand current activities at the affiliate and ensure these are properly reflected in the financial statements. This includes preparing accounting entries as well as reviewing locally prepared accounting entries to ensure completion and accuracy of entries as well as appropriateness of backup.
  • Provide monthly analysis and commentaries for trial balance package for the APAC region, including conducting the calls with affiliates.
  • Ensure adherence to the standard month/quarter/year-end timelines
  • Prepare account reconciliations in accordance with internal reconciliation methodology.
  • Support global/regional GA projects & may lead smaller scale projects independently.
  • Support the overall GA team by demonstrating flexibility in providing back-up for team members and training of new team members.
  • Demonstrate excellence in all interactions with ESC internal customers and business partners & leads local troubleshooting issues.
  • Focus on measuring and improving the internal customer\xe2\x80\x99s experience with the ESC.
  • Build and maintain a strong knowledge of your affiliate\xe2\x80\x99s business.
  • Process Governance:
  • Demonstrate a strong Continuous Improvement oriented approach by challenging status quo and recommends alternative solutions & help to build a strong Continuous Improvement culture
  • Actively work with the core team members and internal IT groups to identify & implement improvements for processes.
  • Report end-to-end process metrics and KPIs to measure service levels, operational effectiveness, process health, and process compliance.
  • Controls:
  • Ensure prioritization and encourage a culture of compliance to SOx and other internal controls requirements
  • Ensure ownership for all applicable SOx & Operational controls related to General Accounting
  • Integrate controls into process documentation and training materials
  • Assists auditors (internal & external) by preparing requested data and providing explanation of supporting materials and procedures
Requirements: Minimum Requirements:
  • University Degree in Business and/or Accounting (or equivalent work experience)
  • 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in RTR or Finance function in SSC/BPO environment, preferably with in-depth knowledge of general accounting processes in a multinational environment as well as US GAAP/IFRS technical accounting
  • Proven analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Proven control orientation based on prior operational business roles
  • Able to respond flexibly to customer needs, effectively managing expectations
  • Ability to work across cultures and across diverse management styles
  • Ability to handle complexity and utilize analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and complete key tasks and deliverables while demonstrating full ownership & accountability
  • Ability to work in global team environment and communicate effectively with both internal business partners of all levels & disciplines, especially affiliate Project Managers outside of Finance
  • Fluency in English language
  • Experience with SAP
Additional Skills / Preferences:
  • CPA, CIMA, ACCA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent
