Senior Analyst, Reference Data And Analytics

Job Description

LSEG Reference Data & Analytics team focuses on collecting information related to reference data, corporate actions and events, dividends, shares data, shareholder information and details related to a company's revenue for globally listed securities in the Asia Pacific region. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join the team!

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

Standardises raw data in accordance with defined processes to ensure data quality is delivered

Executes key aspects of the data control framework, ensuring that data quality is achieved

Develops and runs intermediate level queries to pull a wide variety of information from the database for internal or external reports

Works closely with internal teams to ensure reporting and analysis needs are met

Performs data checks and validation, to ensure the highest level of accuracy, and helps to identify issues with the data and calls out issues appropriately

Provides periodic ad-hoc reports, with both quantitative / qualitative analysis, analysing large data-sets

Supports with the translation of business needs into data analysis and reporting solutions

Uses data visualisation techniques, such as charts and graphs, to illustrate the results and make them easier to understand

Develops a broad, in-depth knowledge of the data methodology and systems.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or relevant field

At least 2-3 years experience with database use, database platforms and analysing large datasets

Some experience working in report generation, modelling, and trend forecasting.

Able to write script and/or commands using SQL or Python

Familiar with Power BI dashboard and Excel function tools such as Macro and Charts
