Job Purpose Looking for a Senior Analyst, Master Data & Analytics who is happy to play across the data spectrum to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of the organization\xe2\x80\x99s master data, and for supporting the overall data management strategy. This role will work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand, analyze, report, and improve the workflows and data quality to provide meaningful information to help the business making better-informed decisions. Key Result Areas / Responsibilities Data Lifecycle
- Design the master data model with efficient data processing workflows and ensure it aligns with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s data architecture and quality standards.
- Establish and enforce data quality standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy of the master data across the organization.
- Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure master data is captured, processed, stored, and shared in a consistent and secure manner.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and data stewards to understand their data needs and ensure that master data meets their business requirements.
- Responsible for analyzing the quality of the master data and identifying areas for improvement.
- Administer master data profiling tools and data cleansing techniques to improve the quality of the master data.
- Provide thought leadership and participate with projects that involve any of the upstream or downstream data flows and processes.
- Provide training and support to technical and non-technical stakeholders on how to use and maintain the master data to ensure that data management guidance and direction is applied throughout the entire data lifecycle.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to assess internal process and requirements related to reporting and their analysis needs.
- Develop data analytics and reporting solutions that provide insights into business performance and help to inform decision making.
- Works with intended end users and stakeholders to gather detailed content, segmentation, timing and presentation requirements for information and reporting capabilities.
- Actively monitors, analyzes, and visualizes trends and patterns in large and complex data sets and present actionable insights in business meetings highlighting potential opportunities, risks, and implications.
- Degree in a relevant domain such as Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data analytics or related technical field. Minimum five (5) years of work experience that directly relates to this job specification.
- At least five (5) years of relevant work experience in data quality management, information architecture and governance design and implementation, ideally with exposures to Sales/Marketing/Financial Analysis/Research.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and operationalizing data based on guidelines, workflows, and SOPs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Strong understanding of how data is used for reporting and transactional activities.
- Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- An excellent understanding of data management principles and best practice.
- Knowledge of the important concepts in master data management and data standards.
- Ability to access a relational database using SQL with fluent ability to understand, write and modify SQL query is a plus.
- Knowledge in one of more analytics-oriented programming languages such as Python, R and/or MATLAB will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Qlik Sense, Tableau or PowerBI is a plus.
- Knowledge and skills in computer software. E.g. Microsoft software applications.
- Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia and/ or Mandarin.
