Job Description


Overall Role Purpose

Provides day-to-day payroll support to ensure that the local payrolls are promptly and accurately delivered. Ensures consistent application of policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

A. Customer External

HR Business Partners

  • Provide effective and efficient support to the HR Business Partner to ensure the smooth running of the payroll of the country/business units.
  • Provide support to the Team Leader in ensuring that deadlines are compiled.Ensures day-to-day payroll related matters are carried out systematically and meticulously.
All Employees
  • Provide day-to-day payroll support and advise to employees pertaining to payroll and tax related matters.
Managers and Team Leads
  • Meeting set KPIs for HR Services
  • Comply with askHR SOP and quality standards
  • Demonstrate flexibility in work assignments (new and backup)
  • Maintain process documentation up-to-date (DWI and Process Map)
  • Participate in process improvements initiatives
B. Stakeholder External

Payroll Vendors
  • Provide payroll related information for payroll processing to the vendor.
  • Ensure that payroll vendor provides the users with guidance on interpretation of the payroll information.
Tax Consultants/IRA
  • Liaise with Tax advisors and upon advice, assist in submission of Expatriate tax return either year or on adhoc basis upon resignation or relocation to another country.
Auditors
  • Provide payroll related information for audit purpose to auditors.
C. Process

Payroll
  • Manage payroll on a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly (depending on the payroll processing cycle of the country) basis in a timely and accurate manner
  • Check all computation submitted by vendor before payment.
  • Ensure that all staff\xe2\x80\x99s personal payroll records including banking information are in the payroll system.
Management Reports
  • Generate timely and accurate reports in accordance to the requirement and other ad-hoc reports
Skills & Qualifications
  • Good end-to-end payroll process experience
  • Good grasp of HR processes knowledge (especially payroll)
  • Good knowledge in computing tools (Words and Excel)
  • Good statutory knowledge of a single country
  • Good payroll system experience
  • Understand inter-dependencies, interfaces and touch points of HR data/process
  • 2 -3 years of relevant working experience in Payroll
  • Minimum Diploma Holder
