• The specialist will assist in protecting Lazada Malaysia activities and its ecosystem users in marketing, sellers, products, orders, accounts, and engagement. He/she will be the in-country subject matter expert for Malaysia-based investigations and compliance operations, handling risk-related matters such assortment risk as but are not limited prohibited and controlled goods, anti-counterfeit and brand protection. The role will also assist in the management, quality checks and training of Lazada Malaysia BPO partners.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting with the business team on compliance matters to (i) ensure seller\xe2\x80\x99s adhere with the Prohibited and Controlled, Intellectual Property (IP) regulations, standards, guidelines, and best practices, (ii) embed the Prohibited and Controlled , Intellectual Property Rights compliance program and culture in Lazada Malaysia, and (iii) make sure the right awareness educations and controls are aligned throughout the business.
• Partnering with regional team by being a valued contributor to represent meetings, providing communications and trainings to stakeholders, raising awareness to risks and enabling compliance standards to new/existing customers, sellers and employees.
• Managing the risk exposure by conducting periodic compliance risk assessments and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, governments, and regulatory bodies.
• Maintaining the effective operation of brand escalations and overseeing the implementation of corrective actions and infringement monitoring including regulatory compliance.
• Staying abreast of new rules and regulations; legal risk and trends in the industry and region; reviewing, understanding, and analyzing the impact to the business and compliance program, and sharing insights with the business leadership and regional teams.
• Serving as the compliance point of contact and being visible and accessible to employees in Lazada Malaysia.

Job Requirements

Requirements/Qualifications:

• At least 4 years of working experience relevant to e-commerce. Experience in assortment compliance risk and ethics fields would be a
• Significant knowledge and experience in implementing training and communications and risk assessment processes and programs.
• Excellent and demonstrated project management skills and attention to detail in leading projects and activities in an organization. Ability to prioritize and work simultaneously on multiple projects and ability to organize and analyze complex information and data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong training skills.
• Ability to make sound judgement calls independently when presented with difficult decisions, especially when only partial information is available.
• Ability to take initiative in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong management skills, with experience in collaborating with different business functions and key stakeholders.
• Ability to demonstrate sound and independent judgment, prudence, and maturity.
• Experience in SQL would be a plus.
