KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for leading the planning, organising, and managing investigations of alleged misconduct, fraud, bribery, or corruption within SEB Group.
  • Lead the team and carry out end-to-end investigations by ensuring that all prescribed investigative/operating methodologies for the various types of investigations are adhered to and by conducting proper planning on high-level investigations.
  • Obtain all relevant evidence related to an investigation. Scrutinise/analyse this evidence and make meaningful observations/conclusions regarding the findings and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Ensure that witnesses/suspects and victims are interviewed and where necessary obtain written statements.
  • Review investigation reports as per the prescribed operating methodology, containing the findings of investigations.
  • Ensure that each investigation is concluded within the prescribed and acceptable time limit for the particular type of investigation.
  • Ensure that each investigation has an accurate, fair, and objective conclusion for the type of investigation conducted, and that all findings/conclusions are sufficiently backed by appropriate and relevant documented evidence.
  • Make meaningful recommendations as per the type of investigation. This will include, but is not limited to, system/people/process failures or internal and external threats.
  • Liaise with the E&IR Division with the relevant findings/documentation for use in disciplinary processes.
  • Represent the SEB Group in any criminal/civil court proceedings where SEB is summoned to enter an appearance.
  • Assist in drafting and continuously improving the investigation framework and methodologies.
  • Perform assigned audit or segment of audit under the direction of a senior auditor/engagement manager. This covers the whole audit engagement process, including planning, performing the fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up.
  • To keep abreast with the latest developments, best practices, trends, benchmarking on corporate governance, IIA Standards and Professional Framework, ISOs, standards and recommend integration into IA. This includes searching for information, up-to-date trends, tools, best practice techniques, methodology, etc.
SPECIAL ASPECTS/MAJOR CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:
  • Perform all tasks in line with the Information Security Quality Manual (ISQM), the ISMS roles and responsibilities procedure, and the Information Governance Policy Suite and Guidelines.
  • Perform all tasks in line with the Procurement Policies and Procedures (PPP) and Manual of Authority (MOA).
  • The challenges to improve competencies for adapting to a rapidly changing business environment.
QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance/Engineering/Law or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience in conducting investigations in the area of regulatory breaches, fraud, and staff misconduct will be an added advantage.
  • Other professional qualifications in CIA/CFE will be an added advantage.
SKILLS:
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare clear, comprehensive, analytical written and verbal reports for the management.
  • Independent, creative, and analytical thinker with the ability to conduct research, data analysis, and resolve problems.
  • Strong organisational skills, presentation skills, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent administrative skills and good IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, PowerBI, etc.
  • Good quantitative/statistical skill set.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to influence colleagues.
