This position will be located at Kuala Lumpur Sentral (Menara 1 Sentral) and it is easy to get to by public transportation as it is located at the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Formal authorities
  • Responsible for the migration of existing servers to the new Microsoft Azure subscription.
  • Involved in collaboration on migration and discovery workshops/ meetings, project planning, documentation, implementation and post implementation support.


Main responsibilities and tasks
  • Migration planning exercises and effort estimation for project/ proposal. Analyze environments and be capable of providing recommendations on design, security, performance and compliance.
  • Ensure Disaster Recovery and Incident Response is included in the project plan and proven working post migration.
  • Working closely with service providers for the migration.
  • Perform technical assistance in various capacities as needed.
  • Documentation of solutions, e.g.: architecture, configuration, setup and etc.
  • Work with support teams involved to define and maintain operational processes and documents. Ensure all program documentation is updated and relevant to current support tasks.
  • Monitoring processes uptime, performance and security post migration. Resolve and/or promptly escalate business and technical issues raised by the users or internal support teams to the service providers.


Accountabilities
  • This position will be measured against:
    • Response to an Incident reported, coordination of the Incident until resolution during post migration support and also ongoing support in Business As Usual mode.
    • Completion of the servers migrated.
    • Completeness and availability of the documentation delivered.
    • Quality of the knowledge transfer performed during handover of the ongoing support to the relevant support teams and members.
    • Stability of the servers migrated post migration, for a specific duration as agreed.


Qualifications
Mandatory requirements
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other equivalents.
  • Must have minimum 4 years of relevant work experience with Cloud administration and automation.
  • Experience in managing migration project to Azure.
  • Possession of Azure Microsoft certifications.
  • Administration experience in Windows Servers.
  • Good interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and supervisory skill.
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written) combined with professional telephone manner.


Additional preferences
  • Experience in Microsoft Azure Operational and Monitoring tools.
  • Experience in troubleshooting Azure infrastructure related issues, checking diagnostic and audit logs.
  • Possess any project management related certifications will be a plus.
