We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst with deep domain expertise in General Insurance, specifically Motor Insurance. The responsibilities of this role include:
Lead the requirements-gathering process for insurance products, with a primary focus on Motor and General Insurance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define business objectives, project scope, and functional needs.
Analyze and document comprehensive business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
Assess and optimize business processes across underwriting, claims management, policy administration, and customer onboarding.
Define data requirements, including data models, sources, and integration needs and communicate them effectively to development and QA teams.
Perform gap analysis and impact assessments between new initiatives and existing systems.
Serve as a key liaison between business, operations, and technical teams to ensure clear understanding and accurate delivery of requirements.
Interpret insurance regulations and compliance needs and translate them into actionable system requirements or epics/user stories.
Work closely with QA teams to validate requirements, review test cases, support UAT, and participate in defect triage to ensure delivery quality.
Support change management activities to enable smooth adoption of new systems, features, and processes.
Provide subject-matter expertise on insurance standards, market practices, and industry technology trends.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 10 years of business analysis experience in the Insurance domain, including 5+ years in Motor and General Insurance.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Information Systems, or related fields.
Proven experience leading and successfully delivering insurance-related projects.
In-depth understanding of policy administration, underwriting workflows, claims processing, and regulatory compliance.
Strong expertise in gathering and documenting functional requirements, user stories, and process flows.
Proficiency with business process modeling and analysis tools (e.g., BPMN, UML).
Strong analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
Mandatory business analysis certifications: CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent.
Familiarity with leading insurance platforms such as
Guidewire
,
Duck Creek
, or similar systems is a plus
