Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Chef to organize the kitchen\xe2\x80\x99s activities. You will be the first in command in the facilities and will create and inspect dishes before they arrive at the customers ensuring high quality and contentment. The job would require you to inspect dishes throughout our various outlets and brands (Take a Bow and Sunbather Coffee)- located in The Sphere, Bangsar South, and soon also in Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur! Responsibility \xc2\xb7 Execute a modern western menu according to brand direction
\xc2\xb7 Develop new seasonal food items using fresh local and imported produces
\xc2\xb7 Managing and directing the daily food preparation
\xc2\xb7 Managing food ingredients including ordering and storing efficiently
\xc2\xb7 Implementing hygiene policies and examining equipment for cleanliness.
\xc2\xb7 Ensure kitchen and equipment are always clean and well maintained
\xc2\xb7 Ensure the kitchen meets all regulatory requirements and food safety guidelines.
\xc2\xb7 Involve in hiring, training, supporting and managing new kitchen team members
\xc2\xb7 Setting and monitoring performance standards for kitchen team members.
\xc2\xb7 Build a friendly working environment for kitchen team
\xc2\xb7 Promote positive, healthy and upbeat energies in the kitchen Requirement

• \xe2\x80\x8b\xe2\x80\x8bCandidates must possess a culinary education background.
• Age between 26-39.
• Candidates must possess at least 3 years working experience in professional setting.
• Confident in executing and serving modern western dishes.
• Professionally trained in commercial kitchens.
• The ability to lead a full kitchen team, including hot and pastry kitchens.
• Able to handle and coordinate food order in a busy kitchen
• Passionate in culinary arts. Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
• Candidates must be able to work with food servings that may contain alcohol. It is a pork and lard free kitchen.
• Available to work on-call, shifts, after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays.
• Good understanding of relevant computer software, e.g. POS system, MS Office.
• Candidates with lesser working experience are encouraged to apply to join as junior chef.

Job Type: Full-time Salary: RM3,800.00 - RM5,000.00 per month Benefits:
