Position: Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job Location: Kuala Lumpur / Malaysia

Key Responsibilities:

-Own the deployment pipeline for Azure Resources based on approved requests.
-Work with change management team to create an auditable, monitored, and responsive CI/CD pipeline with gated approval workflow and release tracking to allow for continuous build, test, integration, for deployment resources or customer applications on MetLife cloud platform.
-Work with Architecture/ Engineering / Business teams and vendors to provide inputs to the planned application architecture from operation perspective prior to deployment.
-Contribute continuous feedback to MetLife Cloud Platform community for the current scripts/repository usage. Develops additional tools, scripts and frameworks that can drive effectiveness and efficiency in automation, monitoring and management of large-scale cloud environments
-Work with Security & Governance team to deploy services/resources/workload in compliance with Cloud Security Posture Management. Also work closely with the required regulatory, security and compliance team in identifying and remediating any potential risks and issues. .

Candidate Qualifications:

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

-Must have familiarity with Cloud technologies, industry standards and best practices on IaaS/PaaS
-Deep knowledge in AKS, Azure SQL Tuning, Azure Monitor, ASE, Azure Cosmos, Azure DevOps
-Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum environment
-Must have familiarity in running infra as code. Familiarity with Azure ARM, Cloud scripting including Powershell, Cloud CLI, bash, AWS. CloudFormation or Terraform is added advantage.
-Familiarity with Application deployment on Containerization Technology
-Have firm grasp of networking fundamentals such as DNS, HTTP, TCP/IP etc.
-knowledge in ITIL framework.
-Able to converse, understand and use English for reading or documenting environments and procedures. Ability to read and understand Architecture artifacts diagramming and documentation will be an added advantage.
-Experience with one or more customer support, product support, technical support, IT Admin support, Consulting, systems development, product development, network operations, software engineering, or I.T. consulting, customer or technical support or consulting or end-user support
-Adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to do the right thing under pressure and tight deadlines. Great interpersonal and communication skills-both oral and written-and success in partnering with groups inside and outside of MetLife.
-Self-motivated and independent thinker that routinely translates circumstances and understanding into actions that move the business forward in a measurable manner
-Strong practical Linux & Windows-based system administration in Cloud environment.
