Senior Collections Analyst
Kuala Lumpur

Under the supervision of the department manager, you would identify and allocate all payments and ensure that all cash is posted and distributed accurately and within required time frames under conformity to the applicable internal controls and compliance requirements. You would typically have a more complex portofolio or manage more complex tasks or projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring past due and collection metrics are achieved on a portfolio of accounts typically involving higher profile customers with more complex collection issues.
• Has extensive knowledge of credit risk, and recommends customer credit terms and limits to maximize sales while limiting bad debt.
• Activities include establishing and maintaining contact with customers concerning past due invoices, payment trends, resolution of disputed invoices, and other matters related to past due receivables.
• Travel required for customer facing whenever necessary for payment related issues.
• Interfaces with a variety of functional areas at various business sites related to customer disputes, invoice copies, proof of delivery, contract/PO issues, etc.
• Provides monthly cash receipt forecasts and various analyses.
• Conducts business in a manner that promotes both internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Understand existing policies and procedures (process maps) to ensure compliance.

WE VALUE

• Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting
• 4-6 years of credit or collections experience in MNC
• Excellent knowledge of collections and payments process
• Knowledge of accounting principles, credit and collection policies and procedures, and credit risk required.
• Greenbelt certification is preferred
• Strong problem solving, interpersonal and financial analysis skills
• Goal oriented, motivated self-starter, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks
• Excellent oral, written and presentations skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently and ethically with both internal and external customers required
• Excellent credit skills required in areas such as insurance, letters of credit, financing, and legal environment
• Knowledge of 3rd party collections and bankruptcy laws preferable
• Strong PC skills including both Access and Excel, and experience with other Microsoft Office products: Work, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
• Knowledge of SAP AR system highly desirabale
• Risk Management skills is preferred
