Work you\'ll do

The Office of the Deloitte AP Consulting leader is looking to fill a Senior Consultant role in the growing AP Consulting Corporate Development team. This role presents excellent opportunities for challenging work, professional development and career progression in the AP region.

As a member of the AP Consulting Leader\'s Corporate Development team, you will report into the Manager of AP Consulting Corporate Development as part of a team driving inorganic growth for Consulting across the region. Inorganic growth is an important part of Deloitte\'s growth strategy and Deloitte has been extremely active in M&A over the last decade. The firm sees M&A as an important part of its broader strategy, and an opportunity exists for a Senior Manager to contribute to the Firm\'s continued focus on M&A as we look to strengthen and diversify our offerings to clients. The AP Consulting Corporate Development team provide:

Support for inorganic business growth for Deloitte Consulting across the AP region

Preparation and reviews of investment business cases for transactions

Financial modelling of acquisitions and other forms of inorganic investments

Reporting and tracking of AP Consulting Corporate Development activities and targets

Detailed market scans to identify potential M&A acquisition and other investment targets that advance the AP Consulting growth strategy

In this position, you will:

  • Have strong analytical skills and a structured thinking style, with a focus on detail to support financial analysis in a complex environment
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have a natural aptitude to problem solving
  • Partner with the other members of the AP Consulting Corporate Development team, as well as Consulting and Corporate Development teams within each member firm, to deliver tangible outcomes driving inorganic growth
  • Be able to deal with ambiguity, and to adapt to accommodate competing demands and shifting priorities
  • Thrive in a fast and dynamic environment
  • Be able to establish and manage relationships with global, regional and local teams
  • Monitor, communicate and escalate high priority risks and issues to the Manager for AP Consulting Corporate Development in a timely manner
You will be responsible for:
  • Support for the tracking, analysis and reporting of Consulting Corporate Development activities across the AP region
  • Gathering and interpretation of historical data to discern valuable insights on areas for improvement
  • Assist with the research and analysis to discover interesting growth opportunities aligned with Deloitte Consulting strategy and help with target origination
  • Support with the preparation and review of investment business cases for acquisitions and other vehicles that drive inorganic growth for Consulting across AP
  • Review financial models for acquisitions and investments for AP Consulting
Enough about us, let\'s talk about you

If you are someone with:

Minimum Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent, preferably in Business, Finance or Accounting; advanced degree a plus

Strong oral and written communication skills, including executive presentation skills (MS PowerPoint)

Experience in financial analysis, financial modelling and/or data analytics (MS Excel)

Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment, think out-of-the-box, work under pressure and tight project timelines

Ability to perform analysis and synthesize data into useful insights

Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills

Drive, tenacity, client-focused and results oriented

Familiarity with management consulting business models, metrics, KPIs and terminology

Conversant with the Information Technology sector globally, including major vendors/offerings, technology trends, acronyms and terms used to describe professional services in this domain
